WARRANTY AND RETURNS

SIP Industrial Products Limited and WINNTEC from SIP operate a fixed warranty and returns policy that affects certain products differently. If a product is listed with warranty, it will usually be stated on any receipt or the operation manual of said products.

WINNTEC Warranty and Returns

WHAT IS COVERED BY THE WINNTEC 3 YEAR WARRANTY?

The WINNTEC from SIP 3 Year Warranty covers faulty materials, workmanship, and standard normal wear and tear*. WINNTEC from SIP products are covered by the 3 Year Warranty beginning from the date of purchase by the end user, with the warranty only being valid if the necessary recommendations on safety, operation, service, and routine maintenance have been followed.


*Consumable items such as wheels, castors, circlips, rubber pads, and handle grips etc. are not covered by the WINNTEC from SIP 3 Year Warranty, as the replacement intervals for these consumables depend on the extent to which the product is used and how well it is maintained. They can be considered as equivalent to brake pads, wipers, bulbs etc. on a new car.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WINNTEC 3 YEAR WARRANTY?

Faults due to improper or lack of sufficient maintenance and adjustment are not covered by warranty. Functional problems without any leakage, i.e. the jack losing height, unable to lift load etc, are often due to improper service and calibration.


The WINNTEC 3 Year Warranty does not cover defects caused by a lack of lubrication, improper maintenance, improper use or abuse, modifications, use with improper fluids or fluid levels, improper or contaminated air supplies, accident, shipping, or any cause not resulting from defective materials of workmanship.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE A PROBLEM?

Contact the WINNTEC from SIP Dealer where you purchased your WINNTEC from SIP product. The Dealer will then contact the supplier who will arrange collection of the item. In most cases, your WINNTEC from SIP Dealer will be able to recommend how to solve a problem on-site. This could help save you the inconvenience of having to send the product in for repair.


During the warranty period, any equipment found to be defective will either be repaired or replaced at WINNTEC from SIP’s discretion. WINNTEC from SIP, or a repair facility recommended by the Dealer, will determine whether the product is eligible for warranty repair. An approved warranty repair will be completed at no charge and the item will be returned carriage paid on an overnight service. The cost of non-warrantable service, repair, and freight is the responsibility of the customer.


Any equipment that is repaired or replaced within the warranty period shall not extend the original warranty period. This warranty replaces all other warranties, including any implied warranty, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Warranty claims can only be accepted where the fully assembled equipment is submitted for repair.

RETURNS STATEMENT

SIP and WINNTEC from SIP products are designed to withstand immense heavy-duty use and perform at a quality level. However, should any of our customers encounter a faulty item, or a machine that has been damaged in transit or otherwise, WINNTEC from SIP operate a comprehensive Returns Policy.


For a swift processes, we ask that, when returning any equipment, the below criteria is followed at all times. This ensures a repair, solution, or alternative is quickly found, satisfying you and allowing work to commence.


Goods are not sold on a ‘Sale or Return’ nor ‘On Approval’ basis. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted and will be returns at the expense of the distributor. Goods correctly supplied to the order of the buyer will not be accepted for return or exchange unless prior agreement in writing has been arranged. In addition, a restocking fee at 15% will be deducted from the credit note, with a minimum charge of £10.00, regardless of all prior carriage charges.

RETURNING GOODS PROCEDURE

All returned SIP items must include a registered Return Number (RN), which will be authorised and confirmed before any returns can be accepted. To obtain an RN code, please call SIP Aftersales with the following information and criteria met:


  1. A valid distributor account number
  2. SIP part number for any fault items
  3. Description of any faults in question
  4. Proof of end user purchase provided


SIP Industrial Products will arrange for the collection of warranty items when issuing a Return Number (RN). We will only issue an RN on receipt of a valid proof of purchase. Carriage will be reimbursed only by prior agreement and will be logged and confirmed at the time of RN code issue.

CRITERIA FOR RETURNING GOODS

All items authorised for return or repair must meet the following criteria. Failure to do so may results in the return not being accepted. Call the SIP Aftersales team for more information should you have any queries or questions.


  1. All goods must be packaged and labelled clearly
  2. RN must be on the outer packaging of each item
  3. Damage or loss via packaging is the sender’s responsibility
  4. All consumables or accessories included must be returned
  5. All fuels and oils must be removed; failure incurs an £80 fine


All warranty repairs will be returned to the distributor carriage paid by SIP. Items claimed as warranty but, upon inspection, are found not to be will be subject to charge. If the item is not covered by warranty, an estimate will be given for repair or recovery of the item prior to work, with the distributor paying carriage costs.
