WEB BEACONS

SIP and WINNTEC from SIP may embed web beacons in our email marketing campaigns, and on our websites. Web Beacons are small GIF image files which enable use to track user receipts of our marketing emails, how often users view our advertisements or web pages, geographical locations, IP addresses, and browsers.

Web Beacons are activated whenever a user opens a marketing email or accesses a page on our website containing a beacon. They transmit data when users view them, but are not capable of accessing any other information on a user computer. Web Beacons are not stored on a user’s hard drive unless the user has downloaded a GIF image containing them.

Some browsers, but not all, enable users to restrict the use of Web Beacons by preventing them from sending information back to their source. For example, when users choose browser settings that block cookies and trackers, or when users to do not access images containing them. By selecting a ‘do not display images’ setting in their email servers, web beacons will not be activated.

SIP may use Facebook Pixel to create retargeting advertisements and create custom audiences for advertisements on Facebook and our websites.

Facebook aggregates data gathered from our use of Facebook Pixel on our website with data it gathers from other sources, in order to improve and target advertisements displayed on Facebook or other services, to improve systems, and to provide measurement services to third parties that use the advertising services of Facebook or affiliates.

Depending on your geographical location, you may be able to block Facebook Pixel by visiting Your Online Choices, selecting your country, clicking Your Ad Choices, then locating Facebook and selecting the ‘Off’ option.
